CW Tower is expected to achieve Leed Gold for Operations and Maintenance (O+M) v.4.1
Transportation Performance
CW Tower is located at downtown Bangkok. It is directly connected to a skywalk which can access through mass rapid transit (MRT). Its location at Center of Ratchadaphisek roads also gives it pedestrian access from surrounding bus stops.
Providing multimodal transportation choices encourages the building’s occupants to substitute use of private cars, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution and traffic congestion.
Heat Island Reduction
To lessen the effect of heat radiation from the building on ambient temperatures in surrounding area, (known as the heat island effect),
the existing roof has been re-painted with highly reflective paint. This reduction in the heat island effect also decreases cooling loads and thus the building’s electricity consumption for air conditioning.
Water Performance
Existing sanitary water fixtures and fittings have been replaced with the most recent water saving models to minimise potable water use for indoor water consumption.
Energy Performance
Integration of high-performance building systems, including the building envelope, air conditioning, lighting, and building management systems has helped to minimise the building’s electricity consumption.
Waste Performance
CW Tower provides separating recycling bins to collect various recyclable wastes including paper, corrugated paper, metals, plastics and glass, to promote waste separation and reduce waste to landfill.
IAQ
Indoor environmental quality occupant surveys were conducted, assessed, and responded to, in order to maintain building occupant satisfaction. Additionally, CO2 and TVOC levels in all tenants’ spaces were tested to ensure verify the appropriate air quality.
